About the name - the word "Bourbon" refers to the Planifolia strain originally grown on Reunion Island (formerly known as "Bourbon" Island named for the French dynasty, not the whiskey).
Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Beans do not contain bourbon whiskey or any other alcohol.
