This is a marinade blend that has been applauded by any who have had it. It was created by a friend of ours from a group that enjoys food and fun. The group is called Port Tortuga, named aptly for a pirate's port of call.
On one night when they camp, they enjoy what they call "Tapas" night. It's when each family or couple set up an appetizer or dish, along with a wine or signature drink on a table outside their tent. When invited guests arrive, they go from table to table enjoying the drink and food offered along with good conversation and good times.
One of these dishes is a pork marinaded in this blend, then grilled to perfection on a salt plate or block over a camp fire. Served in small slices or pieces, along with the signature drink, it is a foodie's delight!
You can do the same by just marinading your chicken or pork roast in a tablespoon or two with water in a bowl in the fridge for about 4-6 hours, then grill on your barbecue, or in your broiler. Cook till done and serve with your choice of vegetables and rice.
