Traditionally, one of the most used blends for many oriental dishes. Star Anise, cinnamon and Fennel seed gives the lovely aroma while the Szechuan pepper and cloves give that touch of warmth and numbness so indicative of the cuisine. A dash of this will give just about anything savory, an Asian flavor.
A sprinkle of this in your barbecue sauce will give your grilled pork ribs a memorable event. A touch of this added to your meat loaf or hamburgers will make them come back for seconds, and my favorite, a pinch of this added to roasted chicken baste always means there are no left overs!
