I love the play on words here, Old Salt's salt free Grillin' and Broiling mix! And it's soooo tasty!
It's fabulous on Shark as well as tender shrimp! Easy to use and it'll make eating salt free that much more enjoyable.
The combination of spices were made to bring the flavors forward in your meal so that your diet is more of a joy than a trial!
You can marinade your seafood in about 2 tablespoons of the blend along with a couple of tablespoons of vinegar and water and 1/4 cup of olive oil...(always marinade in the refrigerator!)
Or topping your fish and slices of lemon or onion, wrapped in aluminum foil for 15 minutes on the grill,
or you can heat up a 1/2 cup of olive oil or butter with a teaspoon of this blend mixed in. Let it warm for about 3 minutes on the stove top, the use the oil to brush on skewered fish or shell fish.
But my favorite is taking a 1/8 cup of Auntie Arwen's Old Salt's grillin' blend and grinding it fine in the mortar and pestle, then mixing it in with 1/4 cup of warmed olive oil and basting it on my grill first, (so my fish won't stick to the metal), then on my skewered shrimp or grilling salmon, turning only once...
Served on garlic bread,...it always brings the neighbors over! (that's why you always need to make extra)!
Enjoy!
