Ingredients : Yellow Mustard, onion, sea salt, garlic, parsley, orange peel powder, cane sugar, fennel seed, celery seed, white pepper, arrowroot, thyme.
This blend brings me back to when I was growing up in my parent's house. My mother, being very french, would make a home made fresh blend using fresh onion, garlic, these herbs and course ground mustard. All this added to make a paste. She would then add a spoon of it to either oil and vinegar to make a salad dressing for fresh salad greens or shredded celery root.
She would also add a spoon here or there when making sauces for chicken or saute vegetables, or to a casserole with mushrooms and green beans.
This blend makes for a savory satisfying herbal light flavor that lets the flavors of the meat or vegetables just pop forth.
Try this as your blend for your own salad dressing, or as an addition to your chicken coatings or even for fish!
Take 2 tablespoons of this blend into a mason jar, add 1/4 cup of any favorite vinegar, 1/2 cup of water and 2 tablespoons of your favorite dressing oil. Shake Well! Serve over salad greens, or sprinkle over freshly steamed green beans, or shredded carrots and celery root, or even as a finishing drizzle over baked chicken or shrimp!
My ultimate favorite is cooking shrimp til just pink in this dressing, then serving it over a bed of salad! Garlic bread on the side!!
(Oh, my tummy just growled....)
