Ingredients: Onion, sea salt, garlic, sweet paprika, chipotle, sugar, mild NM chili, parsley, cumin, thyme, black pepper, fennel, celery seed, oregano.
Chipotle Creole Everything Mix is just that, It's for Everything Creole! It's mild flavor hides a hint of warmth of the chipotle and the mile NM chili pepper. It's not overpowering in it's heat, it's just right for those vegetable dishes, Savory on those chicken wings and just perfect for the big pot of Creole shrimp and sausage soup... A "Can't go wrong" for the gang for football tailgate parties, for those family dinners and just to wow the dinner guests.
I have the perfect recipe for that Creole soup that a favorite during cold days... 1 pound of either ground beef or stew meat, 1 good sized onion (what you consider a "good sized" onion is totally up to you!), cut up or minced, brown till beef is well cooked, drain. This is where it gets fun.
In a large crock pot or large dutch oven, place meat and onion plus any 3 or more (or all) of the following,....
3 cups chopped cabbage, 3 peeled and cubed potatoes, 1 can of pork and beans, 1 can of kidney beans, (or pinto or black or red beans) NOT DRAINED, 1 can of mushrooms (drained), 1 large can of diced tomatoes (or can of tomato paste), 1-2 cups frozen veggies, 1 chopped green pepper, 2 - 3 sliced carrots, 1-2 bullion cubes or 1 can of beef broth, 2-3 stalks of celery chopped,1 bay leaf
And most important of all, 1 tablespoon of Chipotle Creole Everything Mix seasoning. (or add as much as you want, but remember, the spices become more stronger with cooking so start small and add to taste!)
For the crock pot, stir, cover, cook on medium for 6 hours...
For the Dutch oven or soup kettle, stir, bring to a boil, then let simmer for about 1/2 hour or until the vegetables are tender when poked with a fork.
Serve with a nice loaf of bread and watch it disappear.. (on a rare occasion, there is actually leftovers.. great on the second day as well).
ENJOY!
