Lazy River Mild Chili Herbs is the right blend for the best bean and chicken chili there is!! It can be used as a dip as well or as a salsa seasoning.
The secret is the Szechuan peppers. It adds a unique spicy/numbing attitude that just makes the blend so different from all the other "Gotta have it so hot, I can't feel my lips" type heat!
Food should be enjoyable, flavorful, and not painful!
The natural spiciness of the Oregano and basil blended with the green flavors from the Thyme, dill, sage and the savory from the cumin adding to the brightness from the coriander give Lazy River that unique attitude needed for that "something new and different" in your cooking...
My Chicken and Bean chili is just a stew without this blend. Give this a try...
Take a good size crock pot and add to it 2 boned and skinless chicken breasts, cut and cubed. Add 1 large chopped onion, 1 (8 oz) can of kidney beans (with liquid from the can) as well as black beans, white beans or pinto beans... (I usually like to use at least 2 different kinds of beans). Then add one large can of crushed tomato and 1 small jalapeno, seeds removed and finely minced. (I like to exclude the Jalapeno, I'm a spice wimp.)
Just before you stir the contents together, add 2 tablespoons of Lazy River Mild Chili herbs.
Mix well and cover.
Cook for 4 hours on high or 6 on low stirring occasionally to blend the heat well.
Serve over rice with sour cream or shredded cheese. So satisfying!
