Ingredients: Black pepper, paprika, chipotle chili pepper, thyme, garlic.
A basic black pepper & chili pepper blend.
Available by special order only in pint size & larger. Not available for inclusion in Personalized Sampler/4-Packs.
Southwest Sunset Pepper blend is made for the fans of warm savory pepper lovers out there. The blend of ingredients make it the perfect blend for any mildly spicy recipe you have in mind. It's perfect as a rub for beef, pork and chicken grilling events! You can make it the blend for your home made barbecue sauce, or your marinades!
But don't stop there!
Just a teaspoon in your crock pot can add a punch of savory and spicy to your stews, soups, and chili! It's the right blend for all our south of the border dishes!
My favorite is Chili con Lydia! Brown 1 lb of ground beef and one large minced onion in a teaspoon or two of Southwest Sunset Pepper blend and a touch of oil. Place your beef mix into a crock pot on medium, add a can of crushed tomatoes, same size can of red kidney beans, and stir. Let cook, stir occasionally, for about 2 hours. Serve over rice with shredded Monterrey jack cheese and sour cream! If you want to add more heat, keep a bottle of your favorite pepper sauce nearby or even our Angry Rooster Sriracha salt.
Personally, I like it at this heat!
We usually never have leftovers....
