We now bring you Freshener for Cat Litter Boxes, New March 2021. We made a cat box freshener that works with people with many allergies (at least mine).
Ingredients: Baking soda, Spearmint, Rubbed Sage, Lemon Balm, Calendula, Echinacea ang.
It's ground into a powder so it easily mixes into the litter box. (1) When you first get it clean the box add litter to your desired level (I have 4 cats so we use about 3"-4" of litter). (2) add 1/8 cup of freshener. (3) gently mix in.
Carpet freshener --- Works as a carpet freshener, with a much lighter scent than commercial products and no harmful chemicals. (For myself, I have severe breathing reactions with several chemical products on the market.)
Continued Home Litter Box Experiment ---- We are personally very happy with this first attempt. A light scent, the cat's haven't changed habits and the pan next to the toilet is not noticeable. Just sprinkle more into the pan as needed when cleaning litter. 4/12/21
Our Litter Box Experiment ---- We allowed the box to be used for 3 days without cleaning just to see how well it works. (We have multiple boxes in the house, and they go out doors. Still this was the most used litter box of the house. When I next cleaned the box, the smell was nowhere near as bad as it normally would be for a FULL litter pan. So regular cleaning and less cats will keep it smelling fresh. I will update this information in a few days with regular cleaning. 3/16/21
