The antioxidant compounds found in lemon verbena can also have an impact on the hormonal balance in the body. While this effect isn’t dramatic, it has been known as a calming beverage and is prescribed for those with nervous afflictions or chronic stress, as it can ease the mind and calm the body.
Chamomile flowers has been used for centuries in teas as a mild, relaxing sleep aid, treatment for fevers, colds, stomach ailments, and as an anti-inflammatory, to name only a few therapeutic uses. Recent and on-going research has identified chamomiles specific anti-inflammatory,anti-bacterial, muscle relaxant, antispasmodic, anti-allergenic and sedative properties, validating its long-held reputation.
Raspberry leaf: WebMD reports the leaf of the red raspberry has been used in respiratory infections such as influenza, to promote sweating in cases of fever, for heavy periods, morning sickness, to prevent miscarriage and to ease labor and delivery. It's also been beneficial in hormonal balance, depression, and anxiety issues.
Hops has been traditionally used for variety of health benefits that lately has been confirmed through research. Among these health benefits from hops include relaxation and sleep inducer, anti-inflammatory effect, estrogenic effect, antioxidant activity and as an anti tumor properties.
Wild Cherry bark is used for colds, whooping cough, bronchitis and other lung problems; diarrhea; gout; digestive disorders; pain; and cancer. It is also used in cough syrups because of its sedative, expectorant, drying, and cough-suppressing effects.
Hibiscus is used for treating loss of appetite, colds, heart and nerve diseases, upper respiratory tract pain and swelling (inflammation), fluid retention, stomach irritation, and disorders of circulation; for dissolving phlegm; as a gentle laxative; and as a diuretic to increase urine output.

Directions for use: Place 1-2 tablespoons in a pre-rinsed muslin tea bag, place bag in a cooking pot with 1-1/2 to 2 cups of water. Bring to boil, then simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Drink hot or cold, sweeten if desired. Enjoy and relax.
