Mild Tandoori for the Gentle Soul is a blend high in flavor, and rich in complexity. Using this blend as the spice for any Tandoori recipe is quick, easy and very satisfying. It adds an authentic Indian flavor to any chicken or vegetable dish.
Tandoori is usually a chicken dish marinated in a blend of spices and yogurt, (the longer marinated the better), then baked in a clay pot, but I have done it over an open grill and in the oven.
My usual way is to take chicken pieces, remove the skin, and then cut or score the meat. I mix 1 tablespoons of "Mild Tandoori for the Gentle Soul" into a cup or two of plain yogurt and then spread it on the chicken. I refrigerate the covered chicken for about 5 to 24 hours. Then I grill or bake it (in a 450 degree oven) till the juice runs clear..
We love it with cucumber or three bean salad, long grain basmati rice and roasted vegetables... it's so delicious!
