Description:This is a big chunk of solid pink salt. Auntie also sells it in a coarse grain (about the size of your average lentil) and fine (like commercial table salt). This is a very showy piece, about the size of a baseball (1 1/4 pounds), great for having at the table with a rasp file (Auntie is looking for a good source for a salt rasp file; in the meantime, go to the hardware store for a carpenter's rasp) so's folks can file off what they want, fresh. This salt comes from deposits made in pre-Jurassic times, when the site was under water. Now the site is deep in the tall Himalayan mountains. Folks have harvested this salt ever since they discovered it in prehistoric times.

If you care for Miscellaneous items, you might be interested in trying our Comfrey root, cert. organic in Cut / sorted form.

which is described as:

Comfrey root tea makes a dandy gargle for coughs, digestive problems, and to stop spitting blood.

Note: if you ARE spitting blood from the gut or lungs, go see a doctor RIGHT AWAY! But if you've simply got a gum bleed, this might help.

A hot poultice of comfrey root is good for pulled tendons and for bronchitis (hint: put the hot herbal mush in a sock for neatness, or apply it straight from the warming pot).
