Description:Closeout Item, Old Price=$ 2.00 Many folks have heard of chicory in coffee; during WWII, this was a coffee substitute in Europe. It has no caffeine, best used along with coffee. [See rooibos tea for the decaf black-tea equivalent] Can jazz up store bought "el cheapo" coffee. As a poultice, chicory is good for treating bumps, bruises, swellings, and inflammation. If you're a medieval re-enactor, especially a fighter, you might just want to have some chicory in your "field first-aid" kit.
